“But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.”Isaiah 53:5
Jesus died for us,I can give you verses about life and some advice supported by verses as much as I want, but if I neglect to tell someone about Jesus and how, why, and who he died for, then this is all for naught. The basis of Christianity,of what we believe in should not just be to get into heaven, but to understand and love our Savior.
“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live”John 11:25
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”John 3:16
Jesus came and died so that we can live both properly on earth and eternally with God in heaven. He came to be sacrificed,to save, and in return we abused Him,put Him to death and even now we disregard Him and go to live our own lives.
“All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way;And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”Isaiah 53:6
I’m the one writing this and even I can’t say that as a Christian I don’t ignore Jesus sometimes,or I’ve never taken for granted His sacrifice.
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace”Ephesians 1:7
I would just like to end off with telling anyone reading this that Jesus died to save us,and our jobs as Christians isn’t to give friendly advice or just do good deeds. We need to remember the Christ in Christian, there is no perfection it the word Christian, just Christ. He was perfect, but He doesn’t call us to be perfect, He calls us to follow Him,live by His examples, and to preach and teach.
